Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi has revealed that the reason Hakan Calhanoglu was substituted in the 12th minute was to avoid the risk of a serious injury.

The Nerazzurri beat Roma 1-0 in a late Serie A match on Sunday, leaving the Nerazzurri with 17 points from eight games, just two behind leaders Napoli.

“It’s clear that we have a little bit of a problem in midfield because (Christian) Asllani and (Piotr) Zelinski are injury,” the Inter boss told Ufabet.

“(Hakan) Calhanoglu has not been in good form the last two days. If those two (Asllani and Zelinski) were available then I would have rested him tonight. He is a generous guy and he tried to do his job but he felt a muscle pain and he had to stop before it got worse.

In addition, Inzaghi also mentioned Lautaro Martinez, the striker who scored the winning goal and the 133rd goal for the Argentine striker in an Inter Milan shirt.

“He just has to keep doing what he did for Inter and ยูฟ่าเบท Argentina. I think he’s one of the best players in the world. He deserves everything he’s achieve. I think he’ll be in the top five for the Ballon d’Or.”
